Hi Guys,

We have a Vaillant EcoTEC boiler, works absolutely fine and no problems whatsoever with CH and HO. Pressure drops after a while (2 - 3 months) which is topped up with two grey nobs underneath the boiler.

It has a pipe (white plastic) coming outside of the house which drips very regularly when boiler is in operation. This is odourless and colourless water. When we put the system on (CH or HO or both) it start dripping almost immediately and keeps dripping (pauses for while though). No effect on pressure of the system due to dripping.

I have looked on its manual for this condition and found nothing. Any ideas?

This is the condensate output so quite normal.

It should go to a drain and be protected from freezing!

If you look at the underside of the boiler towards the right hand side, is there a white plastic container there?

where does the pipe terminate to?

On the boiler side its connected to condensate drain and other side outside of house dripping simply.

Shall I assume unfinished job by installer?

Yes, it's unfinished. The installer is well aware of the regs, and the installation manual makes it quite clear anyway.

The condensate is slightly acidic and needs to be diverted to a suitable drainage point.

Excellent Link.

Suggestion taken on board. Will look for a plumber locally to get the job "finished". Thanks.
