elec shower, please help...

Bet you have a Crapple.

Anyway... are you sure that is not a 15mm compression stop on on the pipe?

In which case there will be a reducing set inside the fitting.

Buy a 15mm spigot reducer to 10mm. This will push int the 10mm elbow and bring it up to 15mm. From here you can connect to the inlet.

So 10mm elbow on mains pipe, spigot into 10mm elbow.. but then how to connect 15mm spigot end to 15mm elbow attached to inlet?? please forgive!

Well as Dan rightly said there is already a 15mm compression stop end on the 10mm pipe coming through the wall. This mean you could put a 15mm compression elbow straight onto that. Then run a short piece of 15mm pipe from that to the inlet and use a 15mm elbow or push fit elbow to connect them together.

You may find it easier though, as 10mm pipe is a bit more flexible and you're short on space, to use the reduced elbow as I showed on the link above, on the inlet. Then use a short piece of 10mm pipe from that to the pipe coming through the wall and connect the two with a 10mm elbow.
