I bought a property last year that has an old parrot house (basically a fully insulated shed 3m x 5 m), it already has power, a consumer unit that has been tested and is working fine.

I have relined, painted it with the intention of using it as an office I am going to be wiring in a Dimplex 1.25 KW electric heater that is going to be wall mounted.

The question is should I be mounting this on fireboard?

Thanks

Heaters generally heat the air, not the surface they are attached to.

Thanks for the reply but sorry to be dumb what do you mean by standard building fabric?
Plasterboard/plaster walls - even wood if the manufacturers instructions allow.

Thanks for the replies, the walls are currently plywood coated with Marine Ply!

I don't think it is an issue but my wife does from when she worked for British Gas even though I pointed out she was referring to gas heaters!
