Hello,

I'm just finishing an extension on my house.

The room in question is 10 meters by 4.5 approx. It has 3 large windows, (2 velux) Bifolding doors on 1 wall and another door. While all are new and "A" rated, I'd assume a fair amount of heat loss. There are 25 meters of external walls, but all are insulated to a modern standard.

The floor is wooden joist construction, insulated and a fairly large air gap. So not too much heat loss there.

I was planning on running 200w/m^2 electric UFH, the floor will probably be solid oak, (not sure how well this will cope with the heat).

Will this and a 20,000BTU AC unit provide enough heat for the room? How much heat can I expect from the UFH?

Would you risk not running radiators at all?

Thanks for any advise. I'm open to suggestion

Regards
Ricky.
