I have fit a redring electric shower it's yet to be wired up. But upon turning the water on to check for leaks water started flowing though the shower and out the shower head as if it was switched on. The on button isn't stuck on nor the shower wired up. I have never had this before. Could it be a faulty shower? Or any other cause? Thanks

It's a redring pure 8.5kw. I haven't got a picture of the shower with the front off sorry.

If that model does not have an electric solenoid ,but a manual trigger ,it may be triggered in the on position.
If you press the on/ off button ,does it stop the flow ?
