Electric Shower

I had an electric shower fitted approx 12 yrs ago, at the time the cable size was, I think 6mm2. I now have to replace this shower due to wear and tear. Can you still purchase showers at 7.4KW, and if not will I need to choose 8.4KW, will this cable be satisfactory or not? Will I have to upgrade the cable?

Depends on the cable length, its fixings and does the cable pass through insulation etc, type of protective device let us know all the info and we can help
