I have an electric shower with an 'on' switch outside the bathroom door.Since tis morning this is lit either on or off and the light that normally comes on the shower to indicate power on is off regardless of position of master switch.Needless to say I have no hot water.Is there a simple solution?

It sounds like the switch is broken, replacing it would my first try - cheaper than a new shower, but it is probably is the switch though. Be careful if you do it yourself though.
