Electric vibration plate / compacters - any good?

These seem damn cheap to me, given that hire is going to cost me ~£30. Does anyone have any experience with them? I need one for small domestic use.

Hire one from the local hire shop.

It will be heavy duty, they can drop it off and pick it up and it won't clutter your garage/shed waiting for your next job (that's if your a builder) Of course it will be added to the price of the job.

If your a diyer then you'll never use it again.
