Hi there
My light circuit has gone (also effects the damn power shower!). The fuse sparks and trips immediately everytime you try and switch it back on.

Before calling a sparkie I want to try and replace the fuse myself, but am not sure how to get the specific 'tray' out of the entire unti to then replace the contents.

Its a Crabtree sb6000 mains unit, the 6amp fuse. Anyone familiar with this unit?

cheers
Dan

what country are you in?

Has it really got a fuse? With a bit of fusewire in it that you replace?

You say "The fuse sparks and trips immediately everytime you try and switch it back on"
This tells me that you have a wiring fault, such as a nail through a cable, or water on a connection, rather than a faulty MCB.

You do not have to take out the rail to change an MCB anyway.

The power shower should not be run off a lighting circuit.
