Hi,

I am in the process of manufacturing a design item for use in a bathroom.
It does require electricity to operate it. With a view to selling the product to the public I am stuck with what regulations / certification that i need to comply with before selling them. Any ideas

Many thanks

CE marking would be a start.
IP rating might be good for a bathroom.
BS marking may be a requirement for open market sale.

If these requirements have not already been thought of, and met, in the design, long before getting to the stage of manufacturing, then you could be in a whole heap of trouble....

Is it an electric toilet?
It detects when a bird comes to bathroom and automatically puts the bog seat down and squirts a blast of lavender..
you never know, it could be a winner
