Got a three headed lamp post in the back garden that was purchased from B&Q about 15yrs ago. It rarely gets used and I've been considering wether to add a PIR sensor to it which would be very handy where it is located.

I unscrewed the centre cap off the top of the post and it has 4 brown wires, and 4 blue wires plus 6 earths.
The wires are twisted together with a type of electrical wing nut. I need to unscrew these to find out which wires are the feeds in and which others go to the 3 heads.

Can these type of connectors be reused or is there a better solution for me to join 4 wires together as one.

They can be reused but you might be better using wago connectors (as the say on the BBC "other connectors are available")
