The wire from the isolator switch to the cu is not long enough i want to join another length via a 30A junction box but someone is telling me that it must be a continuous length from the isolator switch to the CU.
Providing that the joint box is rated high enough (a 30A joint box is fine) and the cable you use to extend the existing cable is of the apropriate size, Then there is no reason that I am aware of to prevent you extending the cable.
