Let me start by annoying a few people. I am not patriotic, as Britain has changed beyond the place it used to be (change always happens, but not many good changes).
Guess many people with trades have either applied or "toyed with" applying for a work visa at some time.
This is my helpful contribution to reduce the UK's over population!

This is the lastest Australian skills shortage list, I don't get paid for this

Looking at it, the medical profession seems to be in big demand.

One of the lads went over 2 years ago. He's a Teacher. His wife loves it out there, he hates it! It's always different when you're actually 'living' there. They are planning to come back to the UK next year apparently! I suppose its a good time to return here in terms of Property Prices! I'm not sure his wife is gonna be too chuffed when she is suddenly reminded of the good old British weather when she gets off the plane!

Isn't Australia supposed to be like a woman over 50 every one knows where it is but nobody wants to go down there. I would rather go to America were you can own a gun and shoot anyone who tries to break into your house.

Just to add to my post. My mate has just come back from his great adventure of approximately 12+ years.
On my enquiry as to why the hell he is back in England he said "there is nothing ******* down there !"

Well, I have been there twice myself and ....ummm I tend to agree a bit! :?
To all the educated Ozzies, SORRY.

My cousin lives out there, which is reason enough for me to stay on a different continent.

Maybe he was mixing in the wrong circles, I met some very nice, well educated people in Australia and remain friends with them 25 years later.

I fail to see what nationality has to do with people being obnoxious

Canada is going to be the place to go very soon..

I'll fit in then! lol..im one of the most boring people in Europe..especially if you get me on paint and education...

I once had a job as a warm up man...at funerals!

Nothing too wrong with Australia . . . . 20 odd million inhabitants running such a huge country - reasonably well - I like the place.
I bet I am not alone. . . Amongst those who have actually been there - Dickie-P for one. :D

What you call an educated Australian............a New Zealander.......dat da da dahhhhh....bum bum!

I heard that one whilst in Australia :)

Well it might be the place then. I went to Vancouver many years ago, very clean pleasant city, nice people, vancouver island is lovely. The abundant Japanese food was nice, most of the rest of it wasn't Swiss Chalet, Wendys

But......... it is utterly dull. Typified by our trip back to Calgary in time for the stampede via the Canadian Pacific Express through the rockies.

During the day the train travels at about 30 MPH so you can enjoy the view. After about 2 - 3 hours of what must be said is spectacular scenery you start getting bored, then as night falls, the bunks are prepared and the train picks up speed, thus ensuring a sleepless night

So in summary, nice to visit, couldn't live there. (Mind you, the same could be said for England at the mo')
