I reckon Starmer knows it's over. But he's been forced to agree he's going to cling on until Burnham becomes an MP, then he can hand over straight to him.

If he quits now some other random would take over. And it appears that Burnham is the only one in the Labour party who's not completely incompetent or insane. Or at least not known to be, he'll probably prove himself to be no better if he gets a chance.

Problem is that he needs a sfe seat to be dropped in to --- but there ain't any
There will be a safe seat that the incumbent will be gifted a place in the Lords as a reward and Burnham will step into it. Its labours only chance, I gave advice the other day to labour and thats dont let starmer be your Biden, leaving it too late to replace him.

I did a quick google search and Boris and Truss had worse scores.
But as said, local elections don’t relate to general election results.

It’s amazing how many voters don’t seem to understand the differences.
In a way, local election wins for Reform could be seen as a way for the electorate to to see how well they manage to run a small region.

Boris lost very few seats as PM, and May not Truss did lose a lot in one election, but there was a hell of lot more seats up for grabs, and her share of the vote was a lot higher than Labour yesterday, and Labour can't moan about local issues not coming first, when their own Local Election broadcast was all about the Iran war.

I wonder who is crying today. It seems our country is turning into rabble of 'right wing extremists'
Or they are just right.
Imagine Japanese vote in favour of putting the Japanese first , or Mongolian, Armenian, Korean etc nothing wrong with that at all. Why is it wrong for us, we've been brainwashed too long, started by Tony Blair.
I dont entirely support Reform but it's a welcome change, its a change this country needs. There is nothing wrong with putting Britain first and being proud of us, and not driving every other culture and diversity.
Today is a good day, yet sad at the same time we are in such a mess.
I took a trip over to Paris the other day, full of parisians the streets clean the shops beautiful, anyone who has been out there knows why. Dare we say it here, we used to be able to but things changed and we aren't allowed to complain? Doesn't even happen in Russia.
