English Cooking

OK I will spell it out as the only connoissuer on here. you toast two slices of classic english bread both sides until golden brown. You then butter both pieces. You then take a classic mature cheese slice and butter it with mustard ,place it inbetween the toast and eat.
Almost, once the bread is toasted, butter, then add grated mature cheddar. Grill until golden, then add lashings of black pepper

Whatever, you cant beat cheese 'on' toast!! Yummy....esp with marrow bone sprinkles on top!
You're doing it all wrong.
Toast one side of the bread (white side down).
Flip over.
Smear with tom sauce.
Add loads of cheese ( cheddar/red Leicester)
Then add the secret ingredient.
Toast until the cheese is bubbling.
Enjoy.:giggle:

Spread lots of butter on the untoasted side. Then toast that side as well until it caramelises. Then add topping.
