EPDM has been around in the UK for a few years now, it looks straightforward to fit...........but like all good things is there a catch? does that glue give up after a few years?

Have any of you had bad experiences with it?

Someone recently told me the membranes cannot cope with crows/squirrels pecking/ messin with them...............any truth in that?, to be honest, with the membrane at only 1.5mm thick there's not a lot of 'guts' in it is there?

We supply and fit Firestone epdm for the last ten years.,to date we have not had one problem with the membrane or adhesives that have been sold or laid.

The only problem you might come across is if you use different manufactures adhesives with Firestone membranes.

Ripped a few EPDM roofs up over the years. The membranes fine, the adhesives are not. Half day training course and you're an approved installer. Felt fixer does 4 years as an improver before he goes on his own. There's roofers, and there's EPDM fixers...

Hi
There is no better system they are all designed to do a job, however you will
Find most failures are down to installation, you will find more and more general
Builders and DIY ers are now fitting these systems and have no experience, therefore lots of failures.Al professional systems are not available to non approved installers .
