No. Not at 240v anyway. Probably confusing the equation with something else. 1kW= 4.2A @ 240v

Unless you're talking about motors with a power factor of 0.8.
Nominal voltage to earth is now 230v, not 240v.

I stand corrected. And the power factor argument doesn't work either. It's still the wrong equation though!
