Erbauer plunge router not plunging deeply enough

I am using a Erbauer 2100 watt Router upside down in a router table. The router bit does not appear sufficiently proud of the table surface - even when on full plunge.

Is there an adjustable stop preventing it from reaching full depth? Or maybe you've pushed the bit in too far, two thirds is about right.

This is a common problem with plunge routers in router tables, especially if the table top is made of something like 18mm MDF. The solution is to fit a collet extender (like this one) and then fit the cutter into the extender. That particular one needs you to buy the specific collet and a special wrench, but it is about the best on the market. Others like this one are also available
