The indicators on my '02 Espace do not flash when locking or unlocking the car, but work for turning, hazard lights etc. The central locking is otherwise working fine. Does anyone have any ideas please?

I have only had the car a few days and at the time of purchase did not realise that the indicators should flash. I only found out later when studying the handbook.
There is no double-locking - the locks work on just one press of the key. Two presses and the doors unlock again.
But any suggestions are welcome.

I think the indicators only flash when there is an alarm fitted. I have an espace and when I lock it the indicators don't flash
Thanks for all the advice. I can confirm (having had it checked by a former Renault main dealer) that the indicators only flash when an alarm is fitted, and it is not a standard fitment on the Authentique, no matter what the handbook says!
