Ethernet controller drivers needed

I have an old Toshiba laptop that has a yellow question mark next to the ethernet controller in device manager.
I've downloaded every driver possible from Toshiba's website but can't clear it. What am I doing wrong?

Right click on the driver with the yellow triangle, then click uninstall and wait for it to do its thing. Then restart your computer.

I've tried that too. It finds it again and I end up with the same problem.

you could try something like "driver genius", version 9 downloads and then installs drivers automatically for you

Because it's the ethernet thing, I can't get it on the net. I'd have to get it to my PC and transfer it to the lappy.

I've got it. I managed to download it from http://downloadcenter.intel.com
I wasted about three hours at Toshiba's site last night.

might be worth getting DG as it backs up your drivers as well

Does Driver Genius scan your system then ask you to pay before you get your drivers?
