Remainers don't wish to see the nation damaged.
Brexiteers on the other hand are happy to accept any negative impact to the country however severe, and even to their own friends and families...

But they will blame anything and anyone else for their own stupidity!

johnson is waving the flag for a Brexit Catastrophe

Don't be negative! Cheer for no-deal!

"Boris Johnson claimed on Friday that Britain would “prosper mightily” even if it left the EU without a trade deal on January 1, as some Scottish Tories expressed fears that a chaotic exit could further weaken the Union."

"Downing Street on Friday declined to comment on reports that some Number 10 officials believe chances of a deal are no higher than 30-40 per cent."

In totally unrelated news,

"The UK’s leading customs and logistics associations have demanded an “urgent” meeting with chancellor Rishi Sunak and Cabinet Office minister Michael Gove after warning that Brexit border preparations are inadequate and risk causing “severe” disruption to supply chains next year.

The 11 signatories, including trade lobby groups the Road Haulage Association and Logistics UK, as well as several leading freight companies, said they requested the meeting because their concerns about the end of the Brexit transition period on December 31 were now “so strong”.

"Individuals briefed on the discussions told the FT that senior officials had revealed a basic lack of knowledge about the complex and time-consuming processes required for customs brokerages to take on new clients.

“The government just often fails to grasp the real-world complexities — for example, of preparing existing data sets to work with customs declarations,” said one logistics expert party to the talks. “This usually takes several months. We have 85 days and still lack basic information.”
