Tenants of our house have moved out, but all LSH keys we have won't insert all the way in both sides of the lock. The door is locked and I can't open it to change the lock. Is it possible that the cam has lost alignment with the barrel? I am considering drilling it, since the snapping method seems a bit brutal and I don't have access to mole grips. Any ideas? I can remove the handle from the inside, but doesn't gain me much.

Also, once the lock is out I need to replace it before leaving the house, so ideally I need to obtain the replacements beforehand. Are there any means of identifying the lock size without removing it? Say, using the key length etc?

Squirt some lubricant into the cylinders, WD40 or similar.
Then when the key is inserted give it a "gentle tap" with a small hammer.
Also move the handles up and down there may be some pressure on the cylinder cam.
