Probably the worst thing to run into at speed is a tree. They just don't give at all. I once watched in disbelief as a joiner reversed out of someone's driveway (at a fair rate of knots) not realising that they had a tree right in the middle of it. (very wide double driveway)) I swear a squirrel fell out of the tree and scampered away.

how many cars were involved to begin with!!!!!

According to various postings on YouTube, three people died, the car was stolen and it happened in Portugal.
Reminds me of this one. Incredibly, the pictures you see here are the remains of one car driven by one occupant who survived virtually unscathed. God musta been lookin' down on him....

I bet he shat himself! lol Quite a few famous people have come off badly when driving into a tree. Marc Bolan of T-rex fame;
On the night of September 16, 1977, Marc had dinner with his love Gloria Jones, with whom he had a 2-year-old son Rolan. After much merriment, Gloria got behind the wheel of her purple Mini 1275 GT (license plate FOX 66IL) to drive Marc and herself home. This was about 4am. Shortly thereafter, the Mini was traveling on Queens Ride, at the southern edge of Barnes Common, south London. The Mini left the road as it crossed a hump backed bridge, shot through the fence and smashed into a sycamore tree. Marc's side took the impact, and he was thrown into the back of the car, and killed instantly. Gloria was unconscious but alive.
Official Cause of Death: Shock and Hemorrhage due to multiple injuries consistent with Road Traffic Accident. Passenger in a private motor car which collided with a tree. Accidental. Tree 1, Pop Star 0
Seems that Gloria did survive.

We build buildings (and very tall ones too) out of timber. No wonder that trees survive impact ordeals
But did they really get the mini back on the road?
