Got a problem with my Honeywell Evo home, it's been stuck on 3 degrees for the past couple of months, I've ignored it till now.

I've disconnected and re-connected the internet and passwords etc but still not showing correctly.

I havnt done a hard reset as it's a pain in the bum getting everything paired again.

Has anyone had this issue before?

Are you connected to the Honeywell app for evohome?
I do not think Evohome has a facility to show outside temperature other than via internet connection
I could be wrong on that though

But will your thermometer tell the Evohome to fire the burner on the boiler at an appropriate rate?

I'm connected to the app, and the weather shows ok when pressing the weather icon, but the evohome stat still says 3 degrees

It's definitely connected to the internet, there is a screen in settings that says connected to internet

Have done a factory reset, rebound all controllers and still not working.

Did you ever find out how to fix your EvoHome Outside temperature problem? I've got exactly the same problem except that mine's stuck on 13C.

Yeah sorry forgot to update thread

So it turned out that after numerous resets and a firmware update ... I never got it working.

Then I set my phone as a WiFi hotspot, connected to the internet via my phone and it worked.

So turns out that at the time I was with Vodafone and although I had all security and firewalls off, it wouldn't let the evohome connect to the weather function. No idea why, but a few people complain about the same thing with Vodafone routers. It was fine for around a year and then Vodafone must have done a firmware update in the router and it suddenly stopped working overnight.

On the old evohome firmware it didn't really matter it wasn't working other than I liked to see what the temp outside was. But with the latest firmware it uses the weather application via internet to set weather compensation protocols, so it is needed .

I'm now with NOW broadband and although the router isn't as good as the Vodafone one evohome now works.

Word of warning though during me trying to get to the bottom of the issues and resetting evohome and differing settings it's never really worked aswell as it should (certainly not as good as when it was first installed ( and I now suffer regular random glitches, which is doing my head in, and the wireless trvs cost has gone through the roof making the reason I bought the system null and void.

In all honesty I wish I'd got the Drayton wiser, not only does it just work it's reasonable in terms of cost and has better support than the evohome
