Hi all,

As part of decorating a bedroom I have taken off some upvc trim (stuck over previous wallpaper). This has revealed a gap of about 2cm between the edge of the five sided bay window and the brickwork. It seems like it would be a good idea to fill this before replacing the trim. Would expanding foam be the thing to use? I am conscious that on there is upvc trim on the outside, and if it isn't stuck sufficiently, or the foam is a bit vigorous, it might pop off, or at least come loose.

Ta,

Having had a similar problem with a draughty bay myself, go with the foam. It will take the path of least resistance and is highly unlikely to affect the outside trim.

thanks. used the hand held foam from toolstation, and it worked great with no damage.
