Hi,
I'm thinking of adding exposed beams under the sloped ceiling of one of my bedrooms.
Rather than using faux wood beams, I plan to use 2''x2'' sections of real old timber and screw them into the rafters (with the plasterboard in between).
Am I right in thinking that 2''x2" sections of the same length as the rafters are a negligible weight for each of my 2"x4" rafters as well as for the structure supporting the rafters?
Cheers,
Oliver
