exposed waste kit

hi im installing a free standing bath with exposed waste kit
when ive come to put the L shaped waste pipe on which runs under the bath the small part of the L which goes into the floor is to long should i just cut it down or get a smaller one

also the pipe shrouds are too long, are you supposed to cut them down to size? the shroud is pretty thick

no pockets in a shroud I`d cut each to fit
