extend chimney breast

hi i am looking to extend chimney breast with a stood frame so tv sits flush with final finish also hole in wall fire but that means opening breast up then boxing fire in sealing ad use fire board am not planning on using flu liner as mine as been tested is it safe do do this way as long as it all sealed correct thanks for any advice

Why not post a pic of your chimney breast, and can you scan & post a rough drawing of what you would like the finished effect to be?

Are any fireplace openings in the house being used with solid fuel fires or some kind of appliance?

Split face tiles that flu is not a full liner just a piece going up

You need a HETAS on site to give you an opinion.

You will also need to sweep the flue.

Flu had sweep a can just seal do a gas check in fire if all ok job done I have a carbon monoxide tester
