extendind shower cable

i have a 9.5kw with a 10mm feed it runs about 25 feet from consumer unit. i want to move the shower another 15 feet .
do i have to run a complete new cable or can i run it from the old pole switch and have 2 pole switches on the line

I am assuming as you are moving the unit such a distance, you are having major alterations carried out. In this case, it is best to replace the cable, what with the high current used by the shower.

In general, the fewer joints the better.

If there is no alternative (some here say there is always a way!) then you could use a 60A junction box. However, if you can replace, this is the best course of action.

Having two switches may cause confusion.
