Extending 6mm Cable

I want to move cooker about 5 feet and need to extend the 6mm circuit. Can i use some sort of junction box and then move the 45a cooker switch to a new location ?
thanks in advance for any help.

better to get new cable, you can use henly blocks, but you may break them in the future, also the joints must be really secure, hence change the whole cable
 
I agree that cable replacement is the best option but, if not possible, one of these will do the job ...

If you use a junction box make sure it's available for inspection i.e. don't bury it or hide it behind cupboards etc.

If you need to bury the cable consider something more permanent like crimps ... Only permanent when done correctly though ;)

How can you use "Henly" blocks on T&E
