I have a 2.5 20A mcb radial circuit in the garage supplying a double socket and want to extend the radial with a couple of additional sockets for machinery. As far as I can see such work is not notifiable and I should be able to carry this out under part p.

A problem arises however in that one piece of machinery draws a lot on startup and eats 13A fuses. I would want to permanently wire this to a 20A switch or perhaps 16A mcb in a dedicated enclosure as part of the extended radial.

Everything I have read so far relates to sockets so I would welcome opinions if I can take reference to sockets as also covering unfused switches.
