Extending Cable TV point

Currently my Virgin Cable system comes into my lounge and is connected to my set by a1 mtr lead from the box on the wall.

I wish to relocate my set to the other end of the lounge. To do this I need about 10mtrs of cable(having to go up the wall and betwwen the ceiling/floor above. My question is what cable do I need to use, can it be standard coaxial or is a different specification.cable required? Advise appreciated.

WF100 should be fine. As it's a rental system, are you sure that you are permitted to mess with it?

As I am not removining any of the installation, only fitting an extended lead to my set I trust this will be ok. If it works great, if not will revert back to original location. Will keep original lead intact just in case.

Before you do all that, simply connect the additional cable and make sure it works in the current location.

I agree with what Sam just said, check cable works before running into cavities.
I also agree WF100 works fine and the twist-on f-connectors that Sky use are pretty good tbh (although they are a different size). Once i'd used up all my snap'n'seal ones, i bought the twist-on ones, no problems at all.

If there is an electrical or satellite supplier nearby go there, otherwise you'll pay that much extra at diy shops.

You probably won't find WF100 at DIY stores but there are plenty of mail-order specialists who stock it. Make sure you get the matching 'F' plugs.

Avoid Craplins (Maplins) like the plague for anything like this, as they are over priced & low quality, by comparison to other suppliers.
