Hi, we want to install a cooker and there is a fuse box available for it but we want to put the cooker in a different location, about 6 ft away.

I wondered if we can run a cable from this fuse box to a new fuse.

The easiest route would be going up the wall (putting the cable into the wall) to the ceiling and then along the ceiling over a doorway (in trunking) and then down the wall again to its new location.

Is this allowed or is there another way to do this...

No its not allowed for you to do this as this work is in a kitchen. (plus other reasons)

Your electrician will know the best way to do this.

He/She may not be interested in a small job like this, so have a think if there is any other electrical work around the house you may want doing if he/she is reluctant to come out for a small job such as this.

So the OP can't carry out his/her own work in their kitchen and notify the LABC?

Still Click-Sure? ;)

Do you mean a cooker switch/ outlet rather than a fusebox

sorry guys, meant fused switch...ive looked at other similar questions on this forum and it seems it can be done?
thanks for your replies

I'm Click-Sure, GaryMo

More like Click-Unsure! ;)

A cooker? What rating is it?

A fusebox?

Do you mean a fused connection unit? These supply equipment up to 13A.

Any other accessory does not have fuses in.
