i am wanting to run a new cable from my fuse box to the cooker wall switch as the old one is broken, i am wanting to run it around the top part of the wall in pvc trunking from checking the distance etc i will need to use 6mm cable can someone tell me what size trunking i would need i am looking at this site to purchase it from http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Main_Index/Trunking_Pvc_Index/index.html , i will not be connecting the cable myself just running it from the fuse box to the cooker switch and a professional is going to connect it for me

Try and get the bends, elbows and made set pieces it makes it look as good as it can.
On uneven walls a run of sealant to the showing face also improves the aestics.
Pre form the bends on the cable before putting it in the trunking and hoping the trunking and lid will form the cable (it won't).

What size cable are you using?
How do you know that is the right size?
What derating factors have you taken into account?
If you live in England or Wales this is notifiable - question mark over the 'broken' cable but you could be the first to test it in court.
If you intend to do the job yourself then you need to contact your Local Authority Building Control before you start the work.
Subject to above if you intend to have the work signed off by an electrician who is registered with a competent persons scheme then he must be involved in each stage of the installation - he cannot come along at the end and connect things and sign things off - doesn't work like that.
