Extending Earth

in order for the cable to reach the 600mm first T from the stop cock it needs to be lengthened. It never complied with that rule.
The 600mm. only applies to internal meters - and even that doesn't make sense when the rest of the regulation is read..
Nowhere are stopcocks mentioned in the regulations.
Main bonding is applied "where practicable at the point of entry" to the premises.

The kitchen sink and the bath were bonded, and I want to make sure it remains the same.
Kitchen sink not necessary. Bath not necessary as long as the pipes are IF required.

In the real world, 10mm2 bonding cables do sometimes need to be extended, and replacing the entire length of cable just isn't practical.

The best way to extend such a cable is with an in-line 10mm butt crimp and heat shrinking - but you will need to use a special crimping tool which you probably don't have.

I suppose it would also be acceptable to use a proper screw-down earth block, like the ones used on a Main Earth Terminal. However, this would need to be accessible - perhaps under a kitchen unit?
