Cant make our mind up on bay or flat window for the extension, the opening is only 1360cm, so we could get away with 60cm 3 pane bay window, the rest of the house has bays that's why i think it will look better, builder thinks flat window. Flat or bay? what do you think.

Unless the soffit finishes at the same line as the window top, then I'd keep it flat. It's hard to tell as they have (oddly) built the roof, felt, battened and tiled, without completing the soffit detail.

when you say oddly can i ask what you mean, the only reason is we have some issues with the skylight on the top, the roof isnt finished by the way its, we need to order the skylights and window, and the skylight company have said it needs a upstand the and pitch is already very high and i feel we are going to have problems with this builder now.

Flat will look best.

Why is this question being asked now though: begging for extra costs and/or p###ed off builder.

Builders usual window company has let him down, im trying to help him because of the long delay its going to cause now with the lead time for the skylights and windows, especially as the builder said it would be better for the company to fit the glass as we wont have a warranty from the company if he does it.

Could be PD

Flat window. Bay window there would have a flat roof and they always look gash

the original plans had a bay window in there, does that mean if i change it we could have issues with the building inspector?

Highly unlkikelythat planers will care though in theory they could. Going flat to bay they probably would.

BC won't care so long as the job is done properly.

thanks builder said the same to me and he reckons it will look better to the eye

next question because of the size of the opening, 1400cm, 2 windows or 3 for the flat window? what would look better, we have this lead design so we think if we go to small the lead design will look stupid
