Extension guttering in neighbours downpipe

Hi
We have had a single storey extension built and the guttering from that connects to our neighbours downpipe which then goes in a underground system.
We live in terrace house and have never had a downpipe on our side, our original guttering connects to our other neighbours downpipe.

Is it OK to connect our extension guttering that way?

Not if you don't have rights under the house deeds, which i doubt as this is a new extension.

Not straight forward really! but if you are in a terrace and each house is drained every other one then that is quite normal. If however your builder ( quite regularly ) causes issues with other people in the terrace, then that is poor building and will give you problems.

Yeah we are in a terrace and it's every other one. The builder is a friend of theirs.
The wife hasn't liked us doing the extension from the beginning.

If you can't use your other neighbours drainpipe/guttering, or dig a soakaway, then you must be able to access the drainage system.

No can't use the other neighbours as to far away.
We can't have a soak away as the garden isn't long enough now.
The only way to access the drain system is to dig up their patio as other neighbour has a conservatory.
Don't think they would like that.

Update.
Building regs came out and said it was fine as its a shared drainage and we have to go to the nearest downpipe.

It's perfectly normal. Same as on every terrace or semi.
