Hi All,
we have just bought our first house and it has the smallest kitchen in the world we are hoping to get an extension done - a single storey rear extension along the breadth of the property. I think we might need party wall agreements - the boundry fences are ours on the deeds, which might make a difference. we are trying to decide between a sloping roof or a flat one, with or without skylight - it depends on price. the house is approx. 4 metres width, and i would like it to be a two metre deep extension, so around 8 m2 extension. I would also like it built in aircrete with wool insultation, since these are more environmentally friendly. we live in South East London, and were wondering if anyone knew how much an architect would be, and how much the build should be on average. would it be cheaper to project manage myself, or is this a risk?
thanks so much in advance for your help,
Isis
