Hi,

I recently had an extension built. The builder arranged for the electrician.

I have a certificate from the building inspector stating conformance to the building regs (he visited half a dozen times)....does this cover the electrics?? or does the electrics require its own Part P cert?

Thanks,

Matt.

Part P is part of the building regs, you no more need a separate completeion certificate for part p than you do for any other part :)

You should however have an EIC (electricial Installation Certificate) from the sparky, this is however nothing to do with part p.
