Extension

hi

I've just had an extension built and can't make up my mind about the electrics. Is there any reason why i can't do a DIY job on this at a later date? with regards to legality and building control etc
just round the extension and back to the CU?

If you do the job yourself you have to inform the LABC beforehand, they will then send some round to inspect and test it and issue you with a certificate if it complies with the Wiring Regs.

Fees seem to vary from LA to La?

Alternatively get an electrician in to do the work for you who is Part P registered and he will certify it.
