The house we have just moved to has 3 exterior lights on a 2-way circuit - 1 switch inside, 1 weatherproof switch outside. I want to swap the outside switch for a photo electric cell. I have bought the Danlers Twilight switch. So far so good. But...
- the existing MK exterior switch has 3 terminals L1 (blue wire) L2 (yellow), COM (red) And an earth going to a block in the case.
- the Danlers device has terminals for LIVE IN, NEUTRAL IN and SWITCHED LINE OUT.
Can anyone advise how I need to connect the new switch to the red, yellow, blue wires?
Thanks
Paul

Your new switch requires a neutral. Your outside switch does not have one.

Thanks - sorry to be dim, but does that mean I just can't use this switch in this circuit? Ie I need to have it rewired? Thanks

With the current wiring you may be able to alter some connections to make the light work off the sensor with an overide inside.
This assumes two things :-

1)You can access the relevant connections

2) You are confident at tracing circuits and can safely work on them.

Could you confirm the wiring in the indoor switch?

You might have loop in out at that switch, if in doubt photo and post please.
