External door -position on inner leaf? (moved from Projects)

There is a reason for the query, a (dodgy) builder has sited the patio door on the inner leaf and done a runner on me- I am happy to have it in this position but providing the cavity is closed and all DPM'd, threshold fitted etc is this OK according to building regs please? Or must I have it removed and repositioned?
I'd like the advice from an independent source as I must get it it signed off soon!
