Hi there, I have small area of rot half way down the door. I dug out the rot a couple of years ago and filled with car body resin which worked a treat .I have just noticed a small area of rot coming back. I intend to fix a covering over the whole of the bottom half of the door and was wondering what would be the best piece of wood to use. Its a stable door .

Is the stable door bottom half made of T & G and is it one of the slats that has rotted or is it the frame that goes in the rebate. Pics could help. You can get sheet hardwood plywood if that is what you are thinking of covering it with.
