I have 2 solar thermal panels on the roof of my garage they are working well but last week when I went up to clean them I noticed that the insulation on the pipes from the panels into the house has started to break down. The system has been installed for 10 years and is in a very sunny position.
However I am not sure what sort of insulation I need to get for these pipes, I assume it needs to be high temperature and resistant to sun damage but I haven't found anything like that at the normal DIY outlets.
Can anyone give me some pointers as to the best insulation to use for these pipes?
Thanks
