Hello all,
I'm looking to buy a house that has CH with a fire back boiler (solid fuel). There is no sensible place to put a boiler in the house (tiny) so i want to have one installed in an outbuilding. Is this feasable? How do you get the hotwater back to the house (the outbuilding is 3 feet from the house)?
Want to make sure it's practical before I make an offer on the house.
Cheers,
N

Very easy to do, pipework can be buried Prelagged twin PEX pipe, or run at high level (boxed in and filled with insulation.
You will need to think about frost protection, by way of a Frost thermostat in the boiler room, and I personally always use Fernox Alphi antifreeze inhibitor for outside boiler installations a Good External boiler would be the Grant ODM Vortexz range or if going in a boiler house, the Vortex utillity range

www.grantuk.com
will give you more info! ;)
