Hello All

The top half of my house is rendered and painted white. It was last painted some time before we moved in (4 years ago) and is starting to look a bit weatherworn. My question is what preparation do I need to do before painting - does it need a wipe down, removal of cobwebs etc or can I simply start painting? Also does anyone have any tips to guide me - I'm not looking forward too much to balancing on the top a ladder with paint and brush in hand.

Any advice gratefully received.

Regards

Matthew

No need to stabilise pre painted areas ,unless they are loose or flaky.Yes , keep your area clean, and remove all dust and dirt.
Cant help you with vertigo up your ladder, but if you feel unsafe consider a tower.Never work alone up a ladder.
good luck
