Can anyone advise if there is a particular type of wood used for Front Doors that is less prone to expanding in the summer and contracting in the winter?

My current door wasn't the most expensive door from Wickes but was treated regularly to avoid the weather hitting it. Unfortunately that hasn't worked and there are times in the summer when it swells so much that it cannot be opened with winter doing the opposite and it not closing properly.

I've looked into composite and not a fan of the stuff.

Thanks
Jim

When you say treated were ALL exposed faces treated or sealed like underneath the door or on top because from experience once a door has been swung(fitted) and all the gaps are nice and everything lines up Joiners tend not to take the door back off to paint underneath it or under the hinges or locks, just a thought
