Hi,

I'm wanting to put some extraction in a bedroom in a downstairs flat to have constant ventilation as it is getting a build up of condensation at this time of the year. There is an existing ducting run (approx 5m) from the axial bathroom fan to the closest external wall which runs directly above the bedroom ceiling, so what I'm considering doing is using that existing ducting like my diagram shows the main reason being the wall doesn't really have enough space for a second external vent on the outside. The inline fan would be very close to the external wall.

Clearly this set up will function but the thing I'm thinking about is the inline fan will always be sucking air through the existing bathroom fan wether its switched on or off, therefore making the fan blades spin when its switched off and when its switched on the bathroom fan will obviously be pushing air away from it as well the the inline fan sucking air away from it too. Is this likely to be an issue for the axial bathroom fan? I did think about removing the bathroom fan entirely and replacing with a wall grille but I'm not sure if it might mean there won't be enough extraction in the bathroom due to the ~4.5m ducting run there would be between it and the inline fan

Would appreciate your thoughts please!

You are better letting a single fan suck air from both rooms.
You can end up blowing moisture from one room to another.
Also having two fan can cause fans to become noisy.
I have limited knowledge on this but I tried 2 vents to one ducted and it caused problems
