Extractor fan wiring?

Hi...a quick question.....we put in a kitchen years ago and shortly after bought a cooker extractor fan but as had tiled etc....never wired it in ...just had for show more than anything else.....wouldn't mind using now if not more for the light in than anything else....... It has a wire coming out with 2 wires blue/brown.... Only..... My question is can I add a plug to these and use in a socket?

Thanks for the reply....I have just looked inside and it shows the square within the square...which if right this means it does not need to be earthed seperately as appliance already double earthed or something like that?

Square within square means double insulated so you will be ok.
