I read a bit in the building regs today that says if the combi boiler I use has a particular type of ventilation then I wouldn't need to install a seperate fan in my new kitchen. Have I got this right and if so, is it a good idea and is it a special boiler or one that I would buy anyway?

Thanks

No, I think you must be confusing things. Can you say exactly what part of building regs. you are referring to? Most combis are room sealed so the existence of fans in the kitchen is irrelevant. It would be relevant to an open flue combi, but these are very rarely installed.
